True Story of a real estate investment: Part 1.

On December 31 last year we bought a 5000 sq ft renovation project on almost 4 acres in a town north of Dallas Tx called Argyle. This is a fairly large project and we plan on putting about $120,000 into the renovation. With luck we should make a few dollars on the thing.

I have been writing articles on about the global currency (forex) market for almost two years. For the next few months Ill be using my weekly article to track the progress of this house as we discuss purchase, renovation and (hopefully) sale. I’ll be discussing how I put together the deal and how the renovation and re-sale are progressing.

This is a real time analysis of a deal that I have a lot of time and money invested in. I don’t know how it will turn out but I thought it would be fun to write about it. Take a look at the first article we published last week here:

Hi Tim. Was in Texas about 10 years ago studying RE, mostly auctions. Texas, like most of middle America, does not have the consistent volatility common to our Left & Right coastal areas. Texas also has 3 to 5% property taxes depending on which county. In quite a few years the taxes can overshadow any appreciation.

    Hope you do well there.
